Thank You Chalfont St Peter!!

WOW!! What a fantastic day!

Over 90 stalls, a funfair, a fabulous and varied range of entertainment in the arena and on stage, Punch and Judy, a classic car parade. a selection of bands and singers- a superb day of fun for all the family - Oh and superb weather too!

Between 6-8000 attended the day's activities.

The winner of the £250 programme prize draw sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce & Keep It Local was Paula Tripp of Chalfont St Peter.

We did however save the best for last!

America's last gasp goal had ensured that England were not playing on the Saturday night and this helped us attract a crowd in excess of 6000 people (half the village population) to our evening entertainment. Our superb stage, lighting and PA rig and vast crowd made Gold Hill Common look like a mini Glastonbury and opera singer David Meacock was warmly received as he sang popular arias from Verdi and Puccini.

It was then time for the main attraction - The Bohemians - the UK's leading Queen tribute band did us proud and got the crowd singing, dancing and having a great time to the timeless quality of Queen's greatest hits. The energy, showmanship and brilliant musicianship of the band, coupled with a fantastic light show saw Gold Hill Common awash with a sea ofpeople, young and not so young, enjoying themselves.
